Lifting slings are designed to lift bulky, heavy and huge objects. They are directly loaded with goods and electric hoists or cranes. Each time a lifting sling is used, the following tips must be noted:
Verify that the sling is not damaged before use
Inspect the sling eye or end connection, and the sling body part to make sure that all parts are in good condition and ready for use
Choose the correct SWL lifting sling.
Select the correct size of the rigging and lifting slings according to the weight to be lifted and the angle of the force applied.
Do not load exceed the rated capacity
Although the sling has a safety factor, it not allowed to use exceed the working load during usage. Overloading not only accelerates product service life, but also increases the risk of accidents and injuries.
Securely secure loads and slings
All slings must be securely attached to the load to the maximum extent. At the same time, the load must not avoid be loosen and slipped during lifting work.
The lifting point must be directly above the center of gravity
Identifying the center of gravity before starting to lift heavy objects is critical. If the load is not properly restrained, the center of gravity can move directly, which can cause the load to swing, and occurring damage to the load or injuring other workers.
