Manual winch, driven by gears, uses the steel wire rope drum to pull the cargo by rotating the steel wire rope wound around it. On some off-road vehicles, the hand winch is particularly important. Today, we will introduce the installation method and some precautions of hand winch.
Installation method of hand winch
Install the winch
Open the package and take out the winch. Turn the hexagonal screw and thin gasket from the tail end of the gear shaft. Fix the nut on the ladder turbine at the tail end of the gear shaft on the handle, so that the inside of the nut is close to the frictional part. Then tighten the screw and thin gasket.
Install the winch wire rope
Loosen the hexagonal screw on the left fixing plate of the winch drum, and remove the fixing plate from the screw with an elliptical head and a square column from the steel wire rope. Wrap one end of the steel wire rope clockwise on the drum, and pass the other end through the left oval, long and round, arched hole of the guardrail. The exposed length of the steel wire rope should be 7-10 cm. Pass the screw with an elliptical head and a square column from the inside to the outside of the square hole on the left side of the reel. Put it into the steel wire rope fixing plate, make the steel wire rope rotate around this screw, and pull it back. Insert the steel wire rope into the fixing plate, and then tighten it with a hexagonal nut. Shake the handle to make the steel wire rope wind around the reel (when winding the steel wire rope, keep it under tension).
The base can withstand heavy loads
Use three screws and nuts to fix the hand hoist winch to the base.
Precautions for installing hand winch
Do not use the winch to pull or move people.
Do not overload.
If the steel wire rope is damaged, broken, rusted or knotted, do not use it.
When working, do not hook the hook at the end of the steel wire rope on the steel wire rope to avoid wear and tear of the steel wire rope.
When pulling the cargo, the steel wire rope should be kept perpendicular to the reel, otherwise it will easily wear and tear the steel wire rope.
When using the hand winch to pull heavy loads, it is best to use a pulley to reduce the load on the winch and steel wire rope.
When the steel wire rope on the reel is less than 5 turns, do not use the winch to pull the cargo. Otherwise, the fixing plate will not be able to withstand the weight and accidents will occur.
When the winch is working, do not touch the steel wire rope, reel or pulley. When arranging the steel wire rope, please wear gloves and cover the steel wire rope with thick cloth.
