Types of Wire Rope Pullers & Cable Grips
Category and Working Principle
Wire rope puller including hand puller, ratchet puller, double hook tightener and cable grip.
Ratchet puller, in other name, ratchet wire tensioner, also known as ratchet hand hoist, is a tool used to tighten steel strand and small section conductor in transmission line engineering construction. Usually, the cable grip is used to fix the wire, and then the wire is tightened to the appropriate sag through the wire tightener.
Double hook tightener is a tool used for tightening stay wire, adjusting the position of equipment or equipment, replacing insulator and other tensioning in the construction process of transmission line engineering stringing construction. There are two types of double hook tensioner: steel and aluminum alloy. The former is heavier, but the allowable bearing capacity is large, and the maximum tensioning force can be 100kN; The latter is light and easy to carry and use, but the maximum load is generally no more than 50kN.
When using the wire rope puller, loosen the steel wire rope or galvanized iron wire on the wire tensioner, fix it on the cross arm, clamp the wire with wire clamp, and then pull the special wrench. The wire tightener can improve the safety in the process of cargo transportation and lifting.
Applications of Wire Rope Puller & Cable Grip
Application fields of wire rope puller & cable grip include mechanical equipment for infrastructure construction projects such as construction, highway, bridge, metallurgy, mine, slope tunnel, shaft treatment and protection.
Safe Use Information of Wire Rope Pullers & Cable Grips
Pay attention to the following points when using:
The wire rope puller of corresponding specification shall be selected according to the thickness of the conductor. When in use, the steel wire rope shall be straightened out and shall not be twisted.
The ratchet wheel and pawl shall be intact and flexible without tripping. Oil lubrication should be added frequently during application.
When using the wire rope puller and cable grip, if there is wire slip, it shall be stopped immediately, and corresponding measures (such as winding a layer of iron wire on the wire) shall be taken to clamp the wire firmly before continuing to use.
