Lifting jacks are designed to level or position heavy equipment, lift automobiles during repair or maintenance, and support structures in production and building. Powered by hydraulic or mechanical or manual methods, the lifting jacks come as hydraulic jacks in bottle type and floor type, mechanical jacks operated by a crank handle or screw jacks.

Before seating the lifting jacks, check if the foundation of the jacks are stable, solid and reliable. It’s better to set the lifting jacks on track wood or other appropriate materials that can be padded to expand the stress area.
When seating the lifting jacks on soft ground, wooden blocks shall be applied under the jack to avoid leaning after being stressed. When the heavy object is lifted, always use supporting skid under the heavy object, but be caution and do not put the hand in the dangerous area.
During the placement of the lifting jacks, keep the action line of the load center of gravity consistent with the jack axis. During the jacking process, strictly prevent the risk of Jack deflection and inclination due to the deflection of the jack foundation or the horizontal displacement of the load. To prevent the jack from sliding in contact with the metal surface or concrete smooth surface of the weight, hardwood blocks shall be padded if necessary.
Do not exceed the effective jacking distance of rated jacking height. Do not overload the lifting jack exceeding the rated load.
When lifting a large object (such as a girder) by lifting tools and equipment, always remember to lift or lower the two ends separately to keep balance. When one end is lifted or lowered, the other side must be firmly padded and placed stably.
Do not jacking the pump rapidly. The lifting jacks should be rised at a uniform pace and fall slowly. When multiple jacks are applied, be attention to operate these jacks synchronously. After the operation of the jack, carefully check the oil pressure and potential dangers, maintain and place it in a proper place.
Tips for safe use of lifting Jack
Lifting Jack is a safe and reliable lifting equipment that widely used in Garage or factories for vehicle repairs or as a support to install the equipment. Generally, there will be no problems, but there are also some precautions need to be attention:
Most lifting jacks use yb-n32 hydraulic oil as the working medium. But when the environmental temperature is higher than 40 ℃, yb-n46 hydraulic oil will be recommended.
During operation, always keep the liquid level of the oil tank on the center line to avoid empty oil pump. When refueling, use 120 mesh oil filter screen to filter out impurities of the new oil. Clean the oil filter every two months, clean the oil tank every six months, and replace with new oil at the same time.
The normal working temperature of lifting jacks range from 10 ℃ up to 50 ℃. You need to take cooling measures or stop pumping when exceeding 50 ℃, Or take heating measures and low-pressure operation or change to use antifreeze grease when the working temperature lower than 10 ℃.
Before pumping, change the reversing valve to the middle half position and Jog several times to to remove the air.
The working pressure set when the pump leaves the factory shall not be increased arbitrarily.
The high-pressure rubber hose is factory set and pressure tested at 125% of the rated pressure. Be attention to regular check once every six months for the aging of colloid. In case of leakage, bulge or explosion during pressure test, the lifting jack must be taken out of service.
The lifting jacks shall be overhauled once a year. All parts shall be cleaned with kerosene, and attention shall be paid to protecting the mating surfaces of the lifting jack without arbitrary collision. After assembly, all moving parts shall move flexibly without local jamming.
