Grade 8 Eye Shortening Grab Hook
Grade 8 grab hooks is designed for chain shortening or choker forming purpose. It is designed with a narrow, straight-sided throat that can hold a link of chain and prevent chain links free moving in the hook throat. The narrow neck of grab hook can grab the chain and hook back to chain legs to form a choker. When it is used to short the chain, the twist of the chain must be minimized and ensure the chain link is fully engaged in hooks. This hook is designed to receive a specific chain size. For example, an 8mm grab hook should be used only with a 8mm chain, larger or smaller chains can not be used.
